How to use the audit confirmations feature in Carta
The Carta audit confirmations feature was created to streamline and simplify the process for GPs, auditors, and portfolio companies. The workflow allows auditors to send audit confirmations directly to portfolio companies via the platform.
Auditors will be able to make selections, select an “as of” date, schedule a date for the confirmations to be sent, and select a due date. Confirmations are routed to the GP, who reviews and approves the selections. Once the GP approves, issuing companies will receive an email requesting their confirmation of the fund's holdings. After the request is sent, Carta automatically sends weekly reminders to issuing companies to complete their tasks, ensuring that the audit stays on-track.
